Vatican City – On April 20, 2021 Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed the rev. Roger Anoumou, of the diocesan clergy of Lokossa as Rector of the “St Paul” inter-regional philosophical seminary in Djimé, in the diocese of Abomey.
The new Rector was born on July 30, 1972 and was ordained a priest on 27 December 2003. He holds a doctorate in psychology and education at the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome.
During his studies in Italy he was parish priest for 4 years in the diocese of Cesena-Sarsina. In 2017 he returned to Benin, where he is a formator and psychology professor, as well as carrying out the pastoral ministry in the parish.
