Dawn of the Morning by HILL, Grace Livingston

Dawn is despised by her stepmother and neglected by her father and badly mistreated by both. She is sent to school, where she is the star pupil and also the head mischief maker. However, she is very popular with everyone there. After she completes school, she narrowly escapes an arranged and unwanted marriage to the villain of the story and ‘accidentally’ marries the his brother.
