Geshe Konchog Wangdu reading mahayana sutras from an old woodblock copy of the Tibetan Kanjur. He is seated at a special sutra stool, wearing the traditional woolen Ladakhi hat and robe, allowed by Vinaya for extremely cold conditions.

This image is derived from a digital photo was taken by Ben, in June 2003 while visiting Rizong monastary. He has assigned the GNU Free Documentation License to the image.
