Summary

Nikolaj Frederik Severin Grundtvig (September 8, 2012, Udby, Sjælland – September 2, 1872, Copenhagen), most often referred to as simply N.F.S. Grundtvig, was a Danish teacher, writer, poet, philosopher, historian, pastor, and even politician. He is one of the most influential people in Danish history, his philosophy giving rise to a new form of non-aggressive nationalism in Denmark in the last half of the 19th century.
