File:Colossus of Ramesses II restored.jpg

Summary

The colossus of Ramesses II at Thebes, digitally restored with the upper part of the statue recovered by Belzoni and now in the British Museum. The upper part of the bust is of course cleaner and this explains the colour difference. Fragmenting around the break explains the small number of missing sections. Photographed a week part in 2004 and digitally combined by Guy de la Bedoyere
