Jon Elster (ur. w 1940 roku) – norweski filozof, pracujący nad teorią racjonalnego wyboru i problemami nauk społecznych. Jeden z założycieli współczesnej szkoły marksizmu analitycznego. Obecnie profesor Uniwersytetu Columbia i Collège de France.
