Many families from Ślepowron (herb szlachecki) or some members of those families used/uses Korwin as Gentilicium, being Korwin an alternative name of Ślepowron, as well as the name of Korwin (herb szlachecki) at the same time. • In a recent up date, Mr. Ryszard Jurzak added the surname Szymanowski to the list of the families entitled to use the Coat of arms Korwin.

Prawdobodobnie kruk powinien patrzeć w prawą stronę tarczy, która jest zaszczytna. Korwin wyewoluował z herbu Ślepowron, a kruk w klejnocie tamtego herbu patrzy w prawą stronę. Inna wersja Korwina to kruk czarny z toczenicą złotą w dziobie w polu błękitnym (skierowany w prawo). Mathiasrex 02:54, 12 sty 2007 (CET)

In the pl:wiki three surnames were added to the families entitled to use the Korwin (herb szlachecki): Lipowicz, Łopuszański and Olszewski. They are not in Mr. Ryszard Jurzak's list. Nevertheless as there are many possible sources I include them in the "Families" list of the en:wiki also.

• I already check the surnames Lipowicz and Olszewski in Ornatowski.com

• • In Nieznana szlachta – Wiktor Wittyg there are five new surnames: Chrzanowski, Chyczewski, Kłosiński, Raab, and Serdyński.
