Gitarowe riffy są autorstwem Slasha. Utwór ten wraz z piosenkami "Welcome to the Jungle" i "Sweet Child o' Mine" wywarł największy wpływ na środowisko muzyczne lat 80. Popularny refren, "Take me down to the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty" ("Zabierz mnie do rajskiego miasta, gdzie trawa jest zielona a dziewczyny śliczne"), ma mieć jakoby związek z heroiną, podczas programu Never Mind The Buzzcocks w stacji BBC Slash stwierdził że pierwotnie miał brzmieć "where the girls are fat and they've got big titties" ("...gdzie dziewczyny są grube i mają duże cycki"). Jest to jedyny utwór na albumie w którym użyto syntezatora.
Utwór ten często grany był na zakończenie koncertów podczas Use Your Illusion Tour i Chinese Democracy Tour
