Good morning Jimbo:
Here we are about 100 people (mostly students) that want to find more about you. We have already introduce the Wikipedia (background, estatistics, objectives). Now we would like to know about your expectations, plans for the near feature. Can you tell us what are you working on now?

What I am working on now: I travel constantly to meet with Wikipedians and to give presentations about our work. I am personally most excited by the progress of wikipedia in Africa and India.

- We tried installing Mirc but it didn't work... Never mind, it [1] was OK, I was able to show your posts here, and your Wikipedia article. Two bibliotecarios were with me: Willy and Comae.
- Four questions from the audience (not from the students side, but from academic staff), typical: relaiability and quality control, who is looking after, can we trust these site keepers, is Wikipedia a NGO in culture (ironically).
- Willy and Comae were able to answer these questions, and it was good enough for students. I met my faculty colleagues later and realized that they disapprove the idea totally. But that is what I expected. They are from the Linguistics and Language departments and to a large extent are complete web-illiterate. Not all of them though. Things are starting to change. At least they attended. I insisted that the Wikipedia is one thing, and academic work is another (Scholar, Citeseer, OAI).
- For me is OK if I manage to get two or three active wikipedians this year (in each language, Spanish and Basque) out of my 60 students doing the course [2]. We will see. Thanks so much for your attention and hope to meet you in the future --JosebaAbaitua 00:22 5 mar, 2005 (CET)
