[edytuj] Herb Łęknicy
Hello :)
My English isn't pretty good, but maybe this could help you with the article:
"The Łęknica's coat of arms in current design was applied in 1990. The coat of arms is divided horizontally into two fields. Right field: on the green background a half of white eagle (polish emblem), with gold crown, claws and beak. Left field: on the green background border pillar on the brown grass, and blue river vawes below. It reffers to Łęknica's position on Polish - German border.
Note: in the heraldic, sides are in revert order than you see (heraldic left is right, and right is left)."
Regards

- fine, that's good enough. :) --32X 23:22, 15 lis 2006 (CET)
[edytuj] Re: Oskar Miller
As far as I can tell, Oskar Miller is not a well-known Polish poet, nor a particularly notable one; his most recent book is probably self-published, and was printed by a company that does not specialise in literature (in fact, it's an advertising house). We have a hard time finding any resellers or libraries that would carry his works.
Claims regarding other initiatives and achievements are either entirely non-verifiable and non-Googlable, or of doubtful notability. For now, I nominated the article for deletion on pl.wiki. -- (lcamtuf)° 23:56, 28 lis 2006 (CET)

Hey, you can't vote there, cause you haven't 100 edits on polish wiki yet. Greetz, Herr Kriss 02:08, 30 lis 2006 (CET)

This is coat of arms of gmina (community) Małkinia Górna. Sometimes COA of community and the main village is the same, sometimes not. I don't know, how it is in this case (is it COA of a village too, or not). So I think it is better to leave "gmina" in file name. Regards Lajsikonik Dyskusja 14:39, 16 sty 2007 (CET)

We'd like ask you to NOT uploading raster versions of polish cities and villages COAs. Vectorize it first (svg). We have a WikiProject Vector Graphics and one of it's rules is first to vectorize and then to upload the svg version on commons, because we'll better know where the image is. There is a very big mess on commons, and sometimes it is very hard to find out an image that should be vectorized (people don't add categories, templates etc, etc. ). It's realy easier to do it on local wiki level. Thanks for understanding. Lajsikonik, odder and WarX 15:19, 16 sty 2007 (CET)

[edytuj] Halbendorf
In de:Kurt Maiwald there's "Halbendorf, Kr. Striegau" (district of Strzegom) mentioned as his birthplace. According to [1] Halbendorf should be somewhere near Thomaswaldau, which is most likely known as Tomkowice now. I have found Półwsie (most likely) and Półwieś (część Opola) which both translate to Halbendorf and are located in that general area. I'm in the need of someone who could figure out which village formerly named Halbendorf could be meant here. --32X 18:41, 17 sie 2007 (CEST)
Hm, that could be Granica (map), a village near Strzegom and Tomkowice. According to these web pages: [2], [3], its former name was Halbendorf. Półwsie is about 20 km away from Strzegom and Półwieś (część Opola) (now a part of Opole) about 120 km, so I don't think they could be called districts of Strzegom. Oh, and Granica/Halbendorf is also mentioned in de:Strzegom#Gmina. Regards -kecaj (♑) 04:02, 18 sie 2007 (CEST)
- Thank you, "Halbendorf, Kr. Schweidnitz" (Świdnica) on the second photo helps a lot. (The district of Strzegom was merged into the district of Świdnica.) Półwsie is – according to Grafika:Schlesien Kr Schweidnitz - Striegau.png – outside the district, so that Granica should be the correct one. Once again, thank you. --32X 02:41, 20 sie 2007 (CEST)

Is my understanding of Polish correct, when I assume that (1) the town de:Rothenburg/O.L. and the town Pieńsk have a partnership, while (2) the gmina de:Neißeaue and the Gmina Pieńsk have a partnership? --32X 20:47, 30 lis 2007 (CET)

--Botev (dyskusja) 19:56, 29 maj 2008 (CEST)
