Anna Wierzbicka

Anna Wierzbicka (ur. 1938 r.), językoznawczyni. Od 1972 roku na stałe w Australii. Obecnie pracuje w Australian National University. Znana dzięki pracom z dziedziny semantyki, pragmatyki i językoznawstwa międzykulturowego. Jest twórczynią naturalnego metajęzyka semantycznego.
Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej (26 maja 2004) oraz Uniwersytet Warszawski (3 kwietnia 2006) przyznały jej tytuły doktora honoris causa.
