Miguel Piñero

Miguel Piñero (ur. 19 grudnia 1946, zm. 16 czerwca 1988) – portorykański poeta, dramaturg, scenarzysta i aktor, współzałożyciel Nuyorican Poets Cafe.

Piñero urodził się w Gurabo, Portoryko, gdy miał 4 lata wyemigrowal wraz z rodzicami do Nowego Jorku. Pierwszy raz złamał prawo w wieku 7 lat, była to kradzież. Został wysłany do Juvenile Detention Center, Bronx. Od 13. roku życia był członkiem gangu ulicznego "The Dragons". Zanim ukończył 20 lat był już narkomanem i kryminalistą.
