This unposed photograph was taken by my late uncle the noted photographer, Malachi Throne, of Los Angeles California, This photograph of President John F. Kennedy was taken at the so called Summer White House, on Martha's Vinyard on Cape Cod as part of a story being covered on The President by my uncle for a Los Angeles Times Sunday Special edition in August of 1963 during a Walter Cronkite interview he was taping for CBS Television. All of the rights of this picture were transferred to me upon the death of my Uncle in 1998 as bequeathed in his will, This photograph is a part of my private collection that I am willing to share here at Wikimedia and elsewhere worldwide in the public domain.
