Riley B. King znany jako B. B. King (ur. 16 września 1925 w Itta Bena, Missisipi, USA) - czarnoskóry gitarzysta i wokalista bluesowy. Jeden z najwybitniejszych przedstawicieli gatunku. Został obdarzony nieformalnym tytułem King of Blues - "król bluesa". Muzyka Kinga, bardzo oszczędna lecz głęboko emocjonalna zaliczana jest do stylów Memphis Blues, Modern Electric Blues i Soul Blues. B.B. King w czasie swej długiej kariery stał się nestorem sceny bluesowej. także wielu muzyków bluesowych i rockowych rościło sobie prawo do wywodzenia swych korzeni w muzyce Kinga - jedni z pełnym uzasadnieniem, inni bez. Nagrywanie muzyki z Kingiem traktowane było jako otrzymanie błogosławieństwa i legitymację prawdziwego bluesmana. W rezultacie King stał się cennym muzykiem studyjnym oraz był często zapraszany do współpracy.

W 1980 B.B. King został wprowadzony do Blues Hall of Fame a 1987 do Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. W 2003 pojawił się na 3. miejscu listy 100 największych gitarzystów wszech czasów magazynu Rolling Stone.
