George Mikes (ur. 1912 w Siklos, zm. 1987) był urodzonym na Węgrzech brytyjskim pisarzem i dziennikarzem.

George Mikes urodził się 15 lutego 1912 roku w miejscowości Siklos na Węgrzech. Pracował w Budapeszcie jako dziennikarz dla lokalnej gazety. W 1938 roku został wysłany do Londynu, w celu relacjonowania kryzysu monachijskiego. Miał tam przebywać kilka tygodni, ale pozostał tam na całe życie. Dwukrotnie był żonaty, z pierwszego małżeństwa miał syna. Był przyjacielem Arthura Koestlera. Zmarł 30 sierpnia 1987 roku.
