Porque es incorrecta. Si consultas Categoría:Filipinas, verás que ya existe Categoría:Escritores de Filipinas. De esta forma deben clasificarse las biografías (por ejemplo, para los españoles existe Categoría:Matemáticos de España, Categoría:Militares de España, Categoría:Nobles de España, etcétera).

Si no quieres crear estas subcategorías, lo correcto es simplemente usar Categoría:Filipinas. --Dodo 08:38 29 mar, 2005 (CEST)

Hola, si lo deseas, para no tener inconvenientes, puedes crear tus nuevos artículos con el nombre Usuario:Jondel/Nombre del artículo, con un nombre de ese estilo no será borrado. I'm afraid FAR's comments may be misleading. "Bachelor in arts" is usually rendered simply as "licenciado". "Master of arts" does not have an exact equivalence in Spanish-based academic hierarchies; the best is to describe it as "un posgrado" or the like. Magna cum laude is, as FAR says, a Latinate cultism usually transcribed as-is, although in Spanish usage simply "cum laude" is used more frequently. Best, Taragüí @ 13:53 17 jun, 2005 (CEST)

I guess it is very hard to translate directly. This happens a lot in almost all languages. Probably a few very related langauges can be translated directly like Portugues and Spanish or Russian and Ukranian, Etc.Even in Japanese there are words that can't be translated well like 'domo'. There are many reasons not to employ a category like that. To begin with, it doesn't exist (you can easily notice that, as the link to the category remains red after adding an article to it); second, it violates capitalization conventions (only the first word and proper names are capitalized in Spanish, not every noun); third, it violates naming conventions (category names should be abstract nouns describing disciplines, such as botany or international law, or else plural, such as Argentine lawyers or religious movements); fourth, it is unclear (what's a spiritual movement got to distinguish it from the better-known and more widely employed religion?). Thank you for taking the time to write to me. I will remove the remove the Spiritual category. Spiritual and Religous are vastly different. Spiritual is internal. Religous is external and dogmatic. I can choose to love God even if I am a murderer. But if I say that God's name is Yahweh or Jesus to a Moslem, I might be killed. If I say that God's name is Allah or Buddha to a Jew or Christian , I might suffer some violence or at least they will chase me away.

I go to Church on Sundays, but I feel, many people in Church are not focussing on God. Spiritual deals with things like meditation, promoting peace and brotherhood.

Ah sí, por algún tiempo estudiaba latín usando Wheelock, que me parecía muy divertido. También me divertía contribuir a la Vicipaedia tratando traducir nombres como Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Siempre he habido un gran interés en hebreo y en lo que pasa en Israel pero no, vivo aquí en Filipinas. Contribuyo a los artículos relacionados a Israel y al hebreo de aquí.

I still need to practise. Most of the time, I create my own world, dialogues, simulate crisis, daily life and the conversations in my head in the other language. Of course I try to watch movies etc in the language. I also pretend I am an interpreter and interpret in my head TV conversations or surrounding conversations and boring speeches.

Interlingua is very Spanish based and is useful for learning Romance based languages. I believes all natives of Romance languages can understand it when spoken to (but not the reverse). No new words are created but common words in romance lang. are collected and used.

Well i saw you wrote about the Filipino Castillian, but you didn't input the main features of that dialect, such as seseo or the use of ustedes as the only second person of plural, if those characteristics exist, because i'm not sure. I can't speak authoritively on this. Should I write on personal experience or from academic sources? The younger Filipino Spanish speakers I knew mixed their Tagalog and English with the Spanish. My cousins would use the 'tu ' form with my grandmother (abolita), and aunts, 'ado' would 'aw' (cuidado->cuidaw). But this represents a very tiny portion of the speakers in the Philippines. So you guys use tú, hmmm, and what about vosotros, vosotras? Second person is very important in Castillian dialectology.

I guess that 'aw' you meant is very important too, you omit the d and you close the o. That's not exclusive from there.

iHola Reynaldo! Mucho gusto. ¿Edad? Soy 40 años. Emigré a Tokio en la edad de 21 años. Mi español falta mucho como puede ser visto en mis artículos. Aprendí aquí en Japón. El español es una lengua prestigioso y se dice es para las élitas y los ricos en las Filipinas.( iNo soy rico o elite!) Puede ser que vuelva de nuevo a las Filipinas. El español puede morir por nativos hablantes pero es una lengua muy popular especialmente para los callcenters. Muchos de los documentos legales e históricos también son en español, así muchos abogados e historiadores tienen que estudiar la lengua. ¿Conoces que hay muchos palabras Nahuatle en Tagalog y otros idiomas de Filipinas? Hola Jondel. Recientemente me he interesado un poco en las Filipinas porque me parece interesante (valga la redundancia) que ustedes también hayan sido colonizados por España y se hayan independizado de ellos, como nosotros los Sudamericanos ¡pero en Extremo Oriente!. En fin... hace un buen tiempo traduje del inglés de un artículo llamado rebeliones filipinas contra España, y hoy, por casualidad, descubrí tu página de usuario. Sólo quería invitarte a revisar el artículo (si tienes tiempo, claro está), pues sinceramente no conozco las Filipinas y pude cometer varios errores al traducirlo. Bueno, eso nomás era.
